As I bring Dark Genesis into print, I am adding an epilogue to Alyssa's story.  It's the original ending I had planned for the story, and left out because I was unsure if I was going to continue the story as a trilogy.  This new epilogue will bridge the gap between Dark Genesis and the return to the world of witches in the next Hunters of the Dark book, Dark Revelations .  It also ties up some loose threads in Dark Genesis , while, you know, leaving some more loose threads.  But I always thought that this was an appropriate ending for the book, and now it will be the official ending. If you already have the e-book version of Dark Genesis , usually simply archiving the book on your device and redownloading it will produce the updated version.  Some devices will let you know that there's an updated version that you can download automatically.  I've also included it below, for those of you who can't wait for the new version to hit the various markets. ...

I have set aside some current projects to focus on where my passions lie at the moment, which happens to be with our favorite monster hunters.  I'm very excited for this next book that merges the world I created in Dark Genesis with the Hunters of the Dark series.  And I kind of can't contain myself any longer, and NEED to share a little bit of what I'm writing.  So, here's a little teaser of the eighth book in the Hunters of the Dark series, Dark Revelations ... Prologue “While our best and our brightest are playing interference with last week’s Kaiju Incident, it’s only a matter of time before we will have to act to protect ourselves,” Bast said, addressing the other members of La Faer Noir from a standing position.   She looked around at the other elders as she spoke, her eyes meeting each and every member, as if speaking directly to them.   “So far, we’ve managed to focus the media on the idea of a genetic experiment gone awry.   We’ve kep...

Prologue II Twelve years ago… “You stay alert now, boy.” Brett nodded, glancing over at his father, sitting next to him in the camouflage tent.   He took a swig of beer, and Brett averted his eyes. A snapping sound to his left caught Brett’s attention and he looked over to catch sight of a doe.   It sauntered near the edge of the clearing he and his father were watching.   It grazed on some leaves from some brush, oblivious to the danger it was in. Brett’s heart immediately began to thump furiously in his chest. The doe was beautiful, with large black eyes, and muscles that moved just beneath a coat of velvety brown fur.   It was graceful and lovely.   It didn’t seem right to kill a creature so pure. “I don’t think we’re going to catch any deer today, Pa,” Brett said loudly, hoping to startle the doe away. “Not with you yammering on like that, we won’t,” his father muttered.   “But we came out here to make a man out of you, and t...

Prologue I Fourteen years ago… It was snowing. Natalia should have been cold, but she wasn’t.   She was disoriented.   The snow layered everything in white.   Everywhere she looked, it was white.   She couldn’t see any paths in the forest anymore.   She stopped and looked up, snowflakes falling fast around her.   Some landed on her face, but she didn’t mind as they melted against her warm flesh.   Tree branches were covered in snow, and some sagged under the weight until it was too much and the snow rolled off in clumps, the limbs bouncing back up again like springs. She was supposed to be looking for something, she knew.   If anything went wrong, she was supposed to look for…a circle?   She frowned.   She couldn’t remember.   Her head was swimmy.   She put a small hand to her forehead and grunted at the pain the touch caused her.   She looked down at her hand, slick with crimson.   It was thick and d...

My horror novel "The Tomb" is now available in print!  Who needs a scary read for Halloween? Amazon Barnes & Noble Createspace "The Tomb" is a special case.  It is a standalone novel, but if you're a fan of the "Hunters of the Dark" series, you'll also see that this is a prequel story for one of the main characters of the series, Rachel.  You don't have to know a thing about "Hunters of the Dark" to enjoy "The Tomb," however.  It's a creepy, atmospheric horror novel all on its own.
