Dark Genesis

Alyssa opened her eyes to darkness. And in the first flash of light provided by a gathering storm, she could make out a ring of bodies surrounding her.

With no memory of who she is, Alyssa stumbles into a dark world populated by witches. The witches are powerful, and demonstrate frightening powers, but even more terrifying are the monsters who rule over the land. Vampires, werewolves and other awful creatures of the night have taken over, forcing the witches behind stone walls, afraid to venture outdoors. But Alyssa finds that as she kills certain monsters, memories return to her, memories of a life on Earth, and the boy she left behind.

The quest to collect her memories and piece together the puzzle of what has happened to her is a daunting one, with betrayals and sacrifices every step of the way. But Alyssa is determined to fight for a world that is not her own, destroying powerful monsters along the way, so that she can return home to the boy she is coming to love through the memories she recollects.

Secret Santa

Holly Hamilton hates Christmas.

Since her parents died last year, she’s been watching out for her brother in an orphanage, where they pick pockets for the unforgiving Mr. Grott, who’s some sort of supervillain-in-training.  The looming holiday brings back painful memories for Holly, and her brother getting his hopes up for presents he will never receive serves to make her feel angrier than ever.

That all changes one day when circumstances (and a sleigh pulled by a gaggle of ornery reindeer) whisk the orphans to The North Pole, where they meet creatures they’d only read about in fairytales.  Thus begins Holly’s adventures in Tinseltown, where she learns the logistics behind Christmas, and uncovers the secret origins of the elves, and even Santa himself.

The Tomb

18-year-old Rachel Thyme has been handed the opportunity of a lifetime when she joins an archaeological dig off the coast of Australia. Eager to have some experience under her belt, she doesn’t question the rumors the locals tell of the previous archaeology crews and the haunting disappearances. She ignores the first signs that something is wrong when her crewmates begin to do strange things, that propel them deeper into the bowels of Black Forest Island. But she can hardly write off discovery after discovery that lead her to confront a long-hidden tomb and puts into question what she thinks she knows about the supernatural.

Rachel wants nothing more than to prove herself on this excursion, especially as it was her daddy’s money that helped her land this job, and as she makes friends, and even sees a little romance, she discovers horrors she can hardly imagine, from evil slowly awakening around her, to the hidden demons locked in her past.

"The Tomb" is a stand-alone prequel to the "Hunters of the Dark" paranormal fantasy series, but you don't have to know a thing about the series to enjoy the creeping horror of "The Tomb."  If you happen to be a fan of "Hunters of the Dark," you'll enjoy getting a peak into the past of one of the main characters, Rachel.

Yokai

Yumiko Sato was spirited away by yokai when she was seven-years-old. Kagami, the yokai lord of a magical realm that exists beyond mirrors, allowed her to leave, but vowed that he would come for her when she turned eighteen, whereupon he would consume her, body and soul. When she returned from that strange world, Yumiko found that everything had changed. She could see the supernatural monsters of Japan called yokai, when no one else could. She could return to that terrible place by walking through mirrors. And her mother had disappeared.

With less than a year left before Kagami comes for her, Yumiko has become an expert at hunting down and dispatching yokai with her mirror sword, sending them into the mirror world, where they can no longer harm anyone. She prepares for the battle of her life and hopes that when the yokai lord comes for her, she will be strong enough to defeat him, saving not only herself, but her mother as well.

Between the ghosts, demons and urban legends that find their way into her life, Yumiko has little time for people. So when things go south, she finds herself in an uncomfortable position, working alongside a ragtag group of humans and yokai to try to save the world before evil forces march upon it. Things are not what they seem, and Yumiko has just scratched the surface of the mysteries surrounding yokai, and just who she has become since returning from that fateful trip to the yokai realm.
